C640 Crystal WDM Audio Codec Problems

One of our users has a Latitude C640 with no sound. When I looked in the device manager the "Crystal WDM Audio Codec" had an error on it. I can get the sound to work again if I uninstall the WDM codec device, and then run through the add new hardware setup. The only problem is that is stops working again when it reboots. Any ideas?

I got the same problem with my gateway but it's solved. Dont let windows detect the sound device 'cause it gonna use the same old driver. Try to boot into safe mode, install the newest one you could find, then boot into normal mode to see if it work or not.
