Đây là một chương trình tạo theme – miễn phí của Nokia cho tất cả các dòng máy S60 kể cả 3rd Edition

Phầm mểm này thực ra là free nhưng nó bắt bạn đăng kí sau khi dùng đc 14 ngày - lúc đó bạn hãy chọn Help => Register Now... làm từng bước và bạn đăng kí ở đây là hoàn toàn miễn phí, ko hiểu bọn này nó làm như thế này là có ý gì

Carbide.ui S60 Theme Edition for Symbian OS is a tool that enables the creation of packages to customize the appearance of the user interface on S60 devices. These packages can then be used by any device user to alter the look and feel of their S60 device.

Carbide.ui has been designed with the creative professional in mind. It allows the S60 UI to be customized with full WYSIWYG layout, without the need for layout defi nition coding or specialized mobile design experience. In addition, Carbide.ui can be integrated with a wide range of creative graphic and audio packages, allowing designers to work with their favorite tools.

Carbide.ui S60 Theme Edition for Symbian OS creates S60 themes that alter the appearance of the S60 UI and S60 Music Player. Themes can be created, edited, and viewed easily. Full WYSIWYG features allow the appearance of wallpaper, application icons, color schemes, or any other UI component to be evaluated accurately. Once a theme has been created, the tool will package it into a Symbian OS installation fi le and prepare it for Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection, if required, after which it will be ready for deployment to devices.

The latest version adds support for S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 and its new theme capabilities, including new screensaver files support, enhanced ringtone file-support, Arabic and Hebrew UI support and new MIDP Color group. These new platform features provide developers and creative professionals with new opportunities to create innovative and compelling experiences for the end user.

để download đc thì bạn phải là user ở đó, vì vậy mình đã đăng kí một cái nickname ở đó cho tất cả sài chung

Cách download như sau:
Sau khi vào đc cái link trên mình đưa, thì bạn hãy nhìn xuống phía dưới một chút bên tay phải, sẽ thấy có chữ DOWNLOAD bạn hãy click vào nó (chọn download method là “Standard browser download”) sau đó lúc này nó sẽ đòi hỏi username và pass, bây giờ bạn type thông tin trên kia vào là sẽ down đc thôi...

Mọi thông tin đã có hết ở trên trang web đó vì vậy mình cũng ko cần nói thêm gì nhiều, chỉ nói qua một chút về đòi của chương trình đối với PC

Hình ảnh khi start

Đây là sau khi đã chọn create – như bạn thấy, phía bên tay phải bap gồm đa số các tool cần thiễt để chỉnh sửa theme cho phù hợp....

Nói thêm một chút về vấn đề̉ đăng kí software
Bạn chọn đăng kí OFFLINE nhé
Bạn hãy vào link NÀY sau đó dùng username và password mình ̣đã đưa trên để đăng nhập vào, tiếp đến bạn phải copy cái số dạng như ID của phần mềm, pase vào chỗ yêu cầu và bạn sẽ có SN, đã có SN rồi, bạn hãy quay về để đăng kí thôi....
Nếu máy bạn nào yếu thì đừng sài cái này nhé, nó quả là đòi hỏi rắt "ác" đấy

Edit: nếu có ai đã đăng kí bởi nick mình đã đưa ra trên thì có thể liên hệ mình để lấy số đăng kí nhé (nếu bạn quên) sau mỗi lần đăng kí thì mình lại nhận đc mail với số đăng kí không, cho nên...

2 - Installation prerequisites :
To install Carbide.ui to your computer, you need the following hardware:

- Minimum:
• Microsoft Windows® XP Professional SP2 or Microsoft Windows® XP Home SP2
• 512 MB RAM
• 430 MB disc space
• 1.5 GHz or faster processor
• Display supporting 16-bit color at 1280x1024

- Recommended:
• Microsoft Windows® XP Professional SP2 or Microsoft Windows® XP Home SP2
• 1 GB RAM
• 430 MB disc space
• 2.8 GHz or faster processor
• Display supporting 24-bit color at 1280x1024
• Sound card

3 - Installing Carbide.ui :
To install Carbide.ui:
- 1. Save the “Carbide_ui_Theme_3_1_1_Setup.exe” installation package to your computer.
- 2. Double-click “Carbide_ui_Theme_3_1_1_Setup.exe”.
- 3. If the version 3.1 is already installed, installation will follow update procedure.
- 4. In the Install Shield Wizard’s Introduction page, click Next Next.
- 5. In the Software Agreement page, after reading the license agreement, select the I accept the
terms of the agreement radio button and click Next Next.
- 6. In the Choose Installation Folder page, determine the folder to which you want to install
Carbide.ui and click Next Next.
- 7. In the Select Program Folder page, define the Programs folder (in the Microsoft Windows Start
menu) to which the Carbide.ui icons are added and click Next Next.
- 8. In the Ready for Installation page, click Install Install.
The wizard installs Carbide.ui to the computer.
---> Note: The installation may take a few minutes.
- 9. When the InstallShield Wizard window informs you that the installation is complete, click Finish Finish.
For more information about the product release, read the Release Notes.
After the installation, start Carbide.ui by clicking the tool icon in the Start menu’s Program folder or in
the Desktop.

3.1 - Updating already installed 3.1 version :
4. Installation detects that previous version is installed. It asks a question, first to remove existing
installation and to install new one. Press Yes to uninstall version 3.1 and update it to 3.1.1. Press
No to quit.
5. Installer will uninstall 3.1 packages. User data and workspace will not be removed. This step will
be done with no progress bar, should last 10 – 20 seconds.
6. Installer will present Introduction page and start 3.1.1 installation from beginning, like in
Installing Carbide.ui.

4 - Registration :

You can run Carbide.ui for a fixed period (14 days) before you need to register it with a serial number.
If you do not register Carbide.ui, you are not able to use it after the trial time elapses. Registration is
free. Just follow the directions in the registration wizard that appears when your trial period is over.
You can also register the tool before the trial time elapses by choosing
Help -> Register Now… > in the tool menu.

5 Uninstalling Carbide.ui
To uninstall Carbide.ui:
1. Double-click “Carbide_ui_Theme_31_Setup.exe”.
2. In the InstallShield Wizard window, select Remove and click Next Next.
3. In the confirmation window, click Yes Yes.
The wizard uninstalls Carbide.ui from the computer.
4. When the InstallShield Wizard window informs you that the uninstallation is complete, click
Finish Finish.

Phải nói cái pm này rất hay nhưng để làm đuợc cũng không đơn giản tí nào mình đã mò qua đau cả đầu hơn nửa tháng trời cuối cùng đành remove.anh em nào làm đuợc thì sharad nha.

Tối qua làm thử 1 cái đơn giản nè, chưa đẹp lắm nên chỉ giới thiệu hình thôi.

Làm hoàn chỉnh một cái úp lên anh em coi thử nha nhớ là đầy đủ menu icon tất tần tật luôn.

Đang tìm icon mà quên cái trang mất tiêu rồi, đang search! Tất nhiên là làm hoàn chỉnh sẽ khoe a e liền

Uhm, mình đang dùng 3.2.
Bạn có thể làm 1 bài hướng dẫn không? Cho mình hỏi làm sao để add mấy cái icon mới vào theme vậy? Mình add icon được nhưng còn cái mask thì bó tay, nhìn xấu quá!
Chỉ mới thay được cái nền, còn cái gốc thì của... người ta.

Như đã hứa, hôm nay mới up bài hướng dẫn làm theme kèm hình ảnh cho các bạn.

Tất cả đều là tiếng Anh nên anh em nào khá tiếng Anh tí thì ok.

Step1 Create new theme ,select basic graphic then click Preferences for select Programs that U want to edit Bitmap in step2
