Overview

This is the Beta version of Microsoft Device Emulator 2.0. The RTM version of this emulator will be released with the upcoming Windows CE 6.0 release. This Emulator has the same executables and DLLs as the 1.0 emulator that came with Visual Studio 2005 RTM and has upgraded performance and some new features. This install does not replace the emulator installed with Visual Studio 2005. The installer that comes with this preview only copies the relevant binaries to the user's system.

Greatly improved performance at executing ARM instruction - reduces cold-boot time and improves application execution speed.

The Microsoft Device Emulator 1.0 is a standalone version of the same ARM based Device Emulator that ships as part of Visual Studio 2005. The standalone emulator is intended for situations when you want to demonstrate or test your application on a computer that does not have Visual Studio 2005 installed. In addition, we are offering the Windows Mobile 5.0 and Windows Mobile 2003 SE operating system images that you can use with the Device Emulator.

Lưu ý, Trên eVC bạn cấu hình là device thay vì emulator, vì emulator đi kèm với eVC vốn dĩ bộ xử lý là x86, có rất nhiều sự khác biệt về IS và Memory Management.
