This version is based on "BA_5.1.1700_build_14343_Upgrade_V3_by_mamaich" ROM. I have used the original package and rebuild completely this version from that point. It's really a clean version and all modifications have been already tested successfully in TuMa's and Ivan's versions.
In fact, I've been using Ivan's 4 R1 version with Widcomm BT stack, but I find this version "dirty", because many Microsoft BT stack parameters are still in the registry and I found some keys were missing (intentionally?).
Personally, I don't see the interest of using Widcomm BT stack over a version built on Microsoft's... so I decided to go back to the original BT stack. Well, I don't use a headset but I use BT to connect my BA to the audio system in my car and TomTom Navigator 5.21 at the same time. I don't have any problem with this issue.
I find WM5 runs not as fast as WM2k3 on BAs, but I cannot see really an overall difference between Ivan's release and this one.
Do not hesitate to make your comments.
Briefly, I've done the following of changes:
-New Camera 2.3 version,
-New Pocket MSN version,
-SPCS is now disable by default,
-Extended_ROM is on your SD Card and supports AutoStart,
-GPRS disconection settings, WiFi fix, Buttons Fix, Headset Today, CarKit camera patch, Speed Settings (cache and flag values),
-Registry have been cleaned (ordered and double entries deleted) and version numbers have been added
HowTo install this new version

1.- Copy the folders "\Extended_ROM" and "\Tools" in the root of your SD Card
2.- Launch "\Tools\DOC_Tool_1.0.exe" from your SD Card to to get extra storage space under WM2005 (31Mb). This change IS reversible with "DOC_Restore_1.0.exe"
3.- Launch WM5 upgrade
You're done!
When our BA will start, it will automatically install all the CABs located in "\Storage Card\Extended_ROM", though you must validate each CAB.
Some CABS will propose you to "Restart". Click on "Cancel" to continue the Setup. Your BA will automatically restart at the end of the process.

Các bạn ơi lại có bản ROM khác cho BA nè tha hồ UP , đúng là đường link này hay bị khó , các bạn nên dùng các chương trình hổ trợ ftp để vào ví dụ như chương trình FlashFXP.

Không đến mức bằng 2/3 wm2k3se như bác nói đâu. Vả lại không thể đòi hỏi wm2k5 tốc độ bằng 2003. Cũng giống như các OS của PC thôi. Cập nhật thì phải chấp nhận, cái chính mình không thấy khó chịu vì lỗi quá lớn là được. Còn như bác nói, thì tốt nhất cứ dùng 2003se cho ổn định (với O2s là ổn định nhất). Up ROM ở đây phục vụ các anh em ham học hỏi, thích vọc máy, nghiên cứu, và sử dụng các ứng dụng tiên tiến nhất thôi.ketnoitinhyeu nói:

bản ROM này khác bản ROM của Ivan ở chỗ vẫn giữ Microsoft BT stack, còn bản ROM v4. r.2 của Ivan thay bằng Widcomm BT stack. Bởi theo tác giả thì tác giả thích sử dụng "đồ nghề" của Microsoft hơn...

Ivan thông báo là bản ROM v4.r2 là bản cuối cùng vì chuyển sang dùng device HTC Universal. Kể cũng tiếc, vì giờ đây chỉ còn Tuatara tiếp tục phát triển bản TuMa 1.5, nối tiếp có ArtZ. Xu hướng của Thuanfx có tính đột phá đó, nhưng liệu có đủ kiến thức và kinh nghiệm để tự nấu cho mình một ROM không? Nếu được như vậy diễn đàn chúng ta rất hoan nghênh.
@NguyenO2s: Vấn đề flight off mode thì bản TuMa 1.4 xử lý được rồi. Bản của ArtZ tớ thấy vẫn có hiện tượng turn off flight mode, phải SR mới lại dùng được, chứ không hoàn toàn là không gọi được như bạn nói đâu. Bạn xem có đụng phần mềm nào không?

Chẳng qua là ở đây mình tận dụng những ưu điểm của ROM Ivan mà thôi,vì nói chung bản ROM này là "fresh ROM" chúng ta cải tiến thêm một số thông số trong Registry là có thể có được một ROM như ý muốn

Các bác dùng Ivan thì trong bản ExtRom của nó không có phần mềm Winmobileapps_FlightMode đi kèm, tôi dùng phần mềm này để cài thêm cho bản Rom Ivan thì thấy rằng khi nào muốn tắt máy hay bật máy sd phần mềm này tuyệt hảo luôn, chỉ cần đợi một chút là nó tắt (hay bật)! Không có hiện tượng phải SR hay đợi lâu đến 4' như bác Maobeo nói đâu!
Chẳng biết nữa, nhưng mà lại thấy Ivan có bộ WM2k5_v4_R2.1.rar, và WM2k5_v4_R2_new.rar, đều ra cùng ngày 23/4/2006.

Bản Ivan v4r2 bị lỗi với WLAN khi sử dụng cho BA. Vì trong bản ROM đó Ivan đã bỏ đi 2 files cần thiết. Ivan đã fix và tung ra bản r2.1. Trong bản này, MS BT Stack được thay bằng Widcomm 1.71.3400 BT stack.hutruc nói:
Bản v4 R2_new là bản v4 R2 + cab WLAN mà bạn có thể tự cài đặt để fix lỗi WLAN. Vậy thôi.
