XDA Mobile 6 Release 2 (hay XM6r2) là phiên bản tiếp theo của bản XDA Mobile 6 cho dòng Wizard. Được sửa một vài lỗi và cập nhập các ứng dụng có trong phiên bản đầu tiên.
XM6 được xây dựng dựa trên bản ROM OS 5.2.318 Build 15342.4.0.01 rom được cung cấp bởi InGeNeTiCs từ Howard Forums. Một khác biệt lớn giữa bản original Release và Release 2 chính là phiên bản của ROM, SYS.

Base ROM Information
---------------------------
The base rom was an "Official" Wizard WM6 ROM that was part of the development cycle of WM6 inside of Microsoft (Dogfood as they call it). The base rom was not a port of another device rom with drivers and stuff pieced and parted onto this one, but this was an actual Wizard WM6.

There is no Radio, IPL, SPL or Extended ROM.

* Pressing the "End Call" button does not disconnect GPRS but minimized the active application. Pressing and holding the "End Call" button for about 5 seconds will do a GPRS Disconnect
* Internet access over ActiveSync (USB) connection works (You must apply a registry fix on your PC first. See the next post for the fix)

* Nếu bạn sử dụng BatteryStatus (nó không được tích hợp trong bản ROM này) để overclock, không nên để mức quá 260Mhz, và cài đặt CPUscaler trong BatteryStatus không nên để thấp hơn mức 143MHz.
* bạn NÊN dùng bản radio T-Mobile 2.19 UK (this is a must for Cingular/AT&T customers). bản radio mới hơn có thể làm bạn mất cuộc gọi và tin nhắn. Tuy nhiên, nếu bạn dùng bản radio mới hơn như 2.61 hay 2.69, bạn nên cài file sửa lỗi ở file đính kèm ở dưới
